Harold Elwood Honeyman Jr.

Mr. Harold Elwood Honeyman Jr., age 81 of Shelby, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, April 21, 2022.

He is survived by his wife of 13 years, Susie Blanton Honeyman of the home, his children, Tony Honeyman and wife Debra of Lattimore, NC, Richard Piercey and wife Tracy of Lattimore, NC, Randy Piercey and wife Sandy of Shelby, NC, and Sheila Pruett of Cherryville, NC, eight grandchildren, Philip Honeyman and wife Patricia of Lincolnton, NC, Elizabeth Crotts of Shelby, NC, Erica Perrell and husband Chad of Boiling Springs, NC, Daniel Macon and wife Emily of Cliffside, NC, Devan Piercey and wife Shay of Shelby, NC, Dylan Pruett of Shelby, NC, Mason Pruett of Shelby, NC, and Meredith Leigh of Colorado, eight great grandchildren, Raymond Autry, Ethan Honeyman, Madison Autry, Emma Crotts, Luke Honeyman, Ady Macon, Parker Macon, and Dani Joy Macon, a brother, Elmer Honeyman of Troy, OH, a sister, Kay Detrick of Troy OH, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Born April 2, 1941 on Race Drive in Troy, OH, Harold was the son of the late Harold Elwood Honeyman Sr. and Lillian Pemberton Honeyman and was preceded in death by his first wife, Marjorie Becker Honeyman, and three sisters, Cindy Kvant, Charlene Bramlette, and Darlene Miller.

Harold was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother. He was a faithful member of Victory Baptist Church of Lattimore, NC, and Troy Baptist Temple of Troy, OH. He was a faithful witness for his Lord Jesus Christ. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and mushroom hunting. Harold loved working with children at church in his ministries. Harold enjoyed when his family would come to visit him. He will be dearly missed by those that knew him.

A funeral service will be held at 12:00pm Tuesday, April 26, 2022 at Cleveland Funeral Services Chapel conducted by Rev. Bob Reeise. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be held at 1:00 pm Friday, April 29, 2022 at Miami Memorial Park in Covington, Ohio.
