Harold Fitch, age 75 went home to be with his Heavenly Father on Sunday, August 6, 2017 at Carolinas Healthcare Cleveland. Born in Cleveland County on July 22, 1942, he was the son of the late Robert Lee and Minnie Lola Warren Fitch. Harold was an active member of Buffalo Baptist Church where he served as a former deacon. He was a Supervisor for Doran Yarns for over 40 years. Harold enjoyed camping, fishing, gardening and spending time with his grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Harold is preceded in death by four brothers, Jessy Fitch, Lee Fitch, Butler Fitch, and Bobby Fitch; and three sisters, Edna Wall, Shirley Greene, and Dorothy Brady.

Harold is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Dorothy "Dot" Hamrick Fitch; two sons, Jerry Thomas Fitch and wife Teresa of Cherryville, and Rodney Eugene Fitch and wife Pam of Shelby; two brothers, David Fitch of Lagrange Ga. and Eugene Fitch of Shelby; three grandchildren, Samantha Marie Fitch Moore and husband Chris, Candace Elaine Fitch, and Cody Dylan Fitch; numerous nieces, nephews, and special friends; and his beloved cat," Charlie".

Funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 10, 2017 at 2:00 pm at Buffalo Baptist Church with Rev. Mackie Turner and Rev. Sam Snyder officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 9, 2017 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home and Crematory.
