Mr. Harold McCoy Sain, 83, of  S. Hebron Church Rd., Vale, NC, passed away, Sunday, May 23, 2010. Services were held at Bingham Memorial Evangelical Methodist Church. Burial followed in the church cemetery.

Mr. Sain was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Jean Bingham Sain; his parents, Frank McCoy Sain and Fannie Cleo Pruett Sain; and 3 brothers, Paul Sain, Horace Sain and Buddy Sain.

He is survived by 5 sons, Dean Sain and wife Dianne of Statesville, Charles Sain and Michael Sain, both of Newton, Jerry Sain of Belwood, and Carl Sain of Vale; 2 daughters, Doris Abernathy of Bessemer City, and Christine Hill and husband Brian of Vale; 8 brothers, Colon Sain, Kenneth Sain, and Warren Sain, all of Vale, Ralph Sain of Cherryville, Hugh Sain of Lawndale, Bobby Sain of Newton, Melvin Sain of Lincolnton, and Jimmy Sain of Hickory; 3 sisters, Gladys Hull, and Joann Wise, both of Vale, and Dorothy Leatherman of Taylorsville; 7 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Bethel Wesleyan Methodist Church; or to Bingham Memorial Evangelical Methodist Church, 6517 Fallston Road, Lawndale, NC 28090.
