Mr. Harvey Bowen Davis, age 79 of Shelby, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, May 9, 2023.

He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Brenda Sue Davis of the home, a son, Sam Davis (Carol) of Boiling Springs, NC, two grandchildren, Alexander Self (Megan) of Shelby, NC, and Blake Davis of Boiling Springs, NC, and a great granddaughter, Blaire Self.

Born October 21, 1943, in Cleveland County, NC, Harvey was the son of the late Max Davis and OZ Greene Davis. Harvey owned and operated Davis Rug Company in Boiling Springs. He enjoyed classic cars and had attended many car shows. Harvey especially enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, especially watching his grandchildren play sports. Harvey was a kind and gentle man and will be dearly missed by those that knew him.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00pm Saturday, May 13, 2023, at Cleveland Funeral Services Chapel conducted by Rev. Keith Dixon. A visitation will be held from 1:00pm - 2:00pm prior to the service at the funeral home. A burial will follow at Cleveland Memorial Park.
