Harvey Lee Fuller

Harvey Lee Fuller departed this life on Saturday, September 25, 2021 at his residence. He was born on October 9, 1943 in Rutherford, NC to the late Robert Lawernce Fuller and the late Laura McDuffie Fuller.

Always a hardworking individual, Harvey started as a bus driver at Green Bethel High School from which he graduated from. His next job was PPG Industries where he was employed for over 40 years before his retirement. Harvey was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church in Kingstown. He was well known throughout the community. He always had a garden and would love giving out and taking vegetables to people all around.

Harvey was an avid outdoorsman and he loved being on his tractor. He was a self-taught mechanic and loved to fix and build things and recently starting building bird and dog houses. Harvey loved his family and especially loved getting together with his sisters to talk and reminance about old times. Although not an outwardly affectionate person, you knew you were loved by his gentle smile.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-mother, Annie Mae Fuller; his sisters, Earlene Weaver, Cornell Stringer, Annie Pearl Fuller and Lillie Pearl Fuller and two brothers, Robert Nathaniel Fuller and Willie Wilson.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 52 years, Elizabeth Surratt Fuller; a son, Harvey Randall "Son" Fuller of Shelby; his daughters, Velvet Fuller Briscoe (Durwin) of Kings Mountain, NC, Marilyn Fuller Myers (Marcus) of Shelby, Pamela A. "Boo" Fuller of Charlotte, NC and Debra Boykins of Shelby; one brother, Larry Fuller (Yvette) of Hickory, NC; sisters, Martha Fuller and Ann Pryor (Ralph) both of Shelby and Delcie Hamilton (T.J.) of Kingstown; his anut, Delcie Brown of Rutherfordton; his in-laws, Dean Allen and Douglas Hayes (Vickie) of Gaffney, SC, Charlene Ross (Thomas) of Blacksburg, SC, Jackie Hayes and Mae Hayes both of Shelby; Maurice and Carla Haynes who he considered as his children; special friend, Jeffrey Spikes and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral services for Mr. Fuller will be held on Saturday October 2, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Macedonia Baptist Church. The family will be receiving friends from 10:30 AM until 11:00 AM at the church.
