Hattie Mae Standridge Tietje, age 87 of Shelby, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, March 7, 2021.

She is survived by a brother, Gerald Standridge and wife Shirley of Shelby, NC, and numerous nieces and nephews. Born September 13, 1933 in Jackson County, GA, Mae was the daughter of the late William Carson and Hattie Howington Standridge and was preceded in death by a brother, Quillen Standridge and four sisters, Lourene Roberts, Lurlene Brocato, Louise Webber, and Geneva Standridge.

Mae touched the lives of everyone that knew her. She loved animals and nature, a very loving, caring, giving person to all. Mae worked and retired after 30 years from Southern Bell/AT&T.

A funeral service will be held 2:30 pm Wednesday, March 10, 2021 at Cleveland Funeral Services conducted by Rev. Douglas Ramsey. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Cleveland Memorial Park.

The family would like to express a sincere thanks to the caregivers (Lorene Brooks, Susie Zazueta, Susan Woods, Brenda Estep, and Carolyn Clontz) for the loving care they gave Mae during the past years.
