Hazel Mozelle Queen Terry,

Hazel Mozelle Queen Terry, age 82, died Friday, January 13, 2017 at White Oak Manor in Shelby. Born in Rutherford County on May 1, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Rev. Cicero Paul and Lucressie Mae Crotts Queen,. She was of the Baptist Faith and loved going to church. Mozelle retired from Dicey Fabrics as a machine operator after 25 years of service. She loved to cut grass and work in flowers. Mozelle loved to play Bingo at White Oak Manor. In addition to her parents, Mozelle is preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Paul Eugene Terry; two sons, Coye Eugene Terry and Ray Dean Terry; a daughter, Mary Wilkie; and her 20 brothers and sisters.

Mozelle is survived by three sons, Warren "Tootie" Terry and wife JoAnne of Boiling Springs, Cicero Terry and wife Beverly of Shelby, and David Terry and wife Jerrilynn of Shelby; a daughter, Barbara Wilkie and husband Charles of Shelby; son-in-law, Leeroy Wilkie of Lawndale; daughter-in-law, Barbara Terry of Smyrna SC; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held on Monday, January 16, 2017 at 2:00 pm at Mt. Zion Baptist Church with Dr. Jamie Billings and Dr. Tim Sims officiating, Mozelle will lie in state an hour before the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 15, 2017 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home and Crematory.

The family would like to thank the staff of White Oak Manor for the love and care that Mozelle received during her stay.
