Helen Cleo Benfield Wease, 88, of Ballpark Road, Lawndale, passed away
Tuesday, June 30, 2015 at Carolinas HealthCare System - Cleveland in Shelby.

She was born in Cleveland County on January 10, 1927, to the late Fonzo
Wallace Benfield and Lula Jane Towery Benfield. She was retired from
Bernhardt Furniture as a seamstress and was a member of Lawndale Baptist
Church.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Flay
Hershel Wease; four brothers, Harold Benfield, Marion Benfield, Dwight
Benfield, and Gene Benfield; and four sisters, Nettie Ward, Edith Ledford,
Bessie Queen, and Mildred Eskridge.

Helen is survived by her two sons, Tim Wease and wife Maryetta and Rick
Wease and wife Ellen all of Lawndale; two sisters, Betty Cooke of Lawndale
and Joan Machlet of Spotsylvania, VA; five grandchildren, Charles Wease,
Rick Wease, Kimberly Cloninger and husband Joey, Tim Wease, Jr. and wife
Lindy, and Amanda Philbeck and husband Brian; and seven great grandchildren,
Andrew Wease, Kaitlyn Wease, Caleb Wease, Addison Wease, Boone Wease, Josie
Cloninger, and Alexandria Philbeck.

The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the church.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday at Lawndale Baptist
Church with the Rev. Jim Kilby officiating.

The burial will follow in the Rose Hill Memorial Park, Fallston.
