Helen G. Hoyle, age 69, of Forest City, passed away on Friday, November 4, 2016 at Frye Regional Medical Center in Hickory, NC.
Born Thursday, April 10, 1947 in Cleveland County, she was a daughter to the late Roy Goodman and Fannie Swink Goodman. Helen worked at Franks Convenience Store in Spindale for many years. She was a past member of Knob Creek United Methodist Church and was currently attending The Barn Fellowship. She enjoyed vegetable and flower gardening and taking trips to the mountains. Helen was an avid Atlanta Braves Fan and especially loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Larry, Keith and Benny Goodman.
Survivors include her husband, Michael Dyer; three daughters, Angela Taylor of Forest City, Lori Blanton and husband, Todd of Ellenboro and Rhonda Hoyle of Cliffside; two sons, Dwayne Hoyle and wife, Ashley of Forest City and Kevin Hoyle and wife, Ladonna of Ellenboro; one sister, Jean Street and brother, Charlie Goodman and wife, Nadine all of Casar. She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, Ryan, Amber, Nathan, Macie, John Boy, Elizabeth, Tiffany, Summer, Matthew, Dylan, Austin, Brianna and A.J.; four great-grandchildren, Jacob, Jace Brylan and Gracie.
A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, November 7, 2016 at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Reverend George Whitmire officiating. Interment will follow in Knob Creek United Methodist Church in Lawndale. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.
