Helen Livengood Ballard, 92, passed away on Monday, April 1, 2024 at the Carolina Care Cottages.

Mrs. Ballard was born on June 2, 1931 in Rowan County, NC a daughter of the late Archie Livengood and Minnie Goodman Livengood. She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Cherryville. Mrs. Ballard was a homemaker and served alongside her husband as he pastored churches in North and South Carolina for 47 years.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Rev. George Ballard; two grandchildren, Evan Cooper and Daniel Adams.

Survivors include five daughters, Kathie Adams of Gastonia; Connie Deaver and Bonny Cooper both of Mooresboro; Elizabeth Ballard of Blacksburg, SC and Rebekah Millard Chesnee, SC; six grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.

A private graveside service will be held at Gethsemane Memorial Gardens in Charlotte.

Burial will be at Gethsemane Memorial Gardens in Charlotte.
