Helen Watts Smith, 78, of Shelby, passed away on Wednesday, June 28, 2023 at Atrium Health - Pineville.

Born in Independence County, Arkansas on January 6, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Evangelous Henry Watts and Doris Mae Crowder Watts. She was retired from Harris Teeter where she was a co-manager and was a member of Double Shoals Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband of sixty years Ronald Stephen Smith; two sons, Stephen Smith and wife Annette and Chris Smith and wife Tosha; daughter Teresa Harp and husband Brent all of Shelby; thirteen grandchildren, twenty-one great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.

The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6:00 to 7:30 PM at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home.

The Funeral Service will be held on Friday at 2:00 PM in the Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home Chapel with the Dr. Brian Johnson officiating.

The burial will follow the service in the Rose Hill Memorial Park.
