MOORESBORO: Homer G. Tesseneer, 66, died Thursday, December 2, 2021 at his home. Born in Deerfield, FL, he was the son of Dorothy Williams Tesseneer of Shelby and the late Max Tesseneer. Homer served in the Army, worked as a plumber for many years and was a loving family man. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Kay Hopper, and Rita Hicks. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Lisa Hopper Tesseneer of the home; sons, TJ Clark of AL, Robert Tesseneer and wife Jerri Lynn of FL and John Tesseneer of Cherryville; daughter, Kari Fankhouser and husband Rusty of FL and Leslie Cook of Shelby; sisters, Ann Robinson and husband Gary of KY,Brenda Towery of Morganton, and Martha Chapman; brothers, Ronnie Tesseneer and wife Freda of Morganton, Jr Tesseneer and wife Kathy of Shelby, Bobby Tesseneer and wife Betsy of Shelby, Dean Tessener of Morganton and Brian Greason and wife Kim of Ellenboro; 22 grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 2:00PM, Monday, December 6, 2021 at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home Chapel, with Ronnie Tesseneer officiating. The family will receive friends 12:30-2:00PM, prior to the service, at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Sandy Run Baptist Church Cemetery.
