Huey Long Webb

Huey Long Webb, 82 of Shelby, passed away, Thursday, February 15, 2018 at
White Oak Manor in Shelby.

Born on September 10, 1935 in Cleveland County, he was a son of the late
James David Webb and Nellie Beatrice Green Webb.

In October 1976, he opened his business Webb Chemical and Paper Company and
continued as President and Treasurer until the time of his passing. Huey
was an avid Carolina Tarheel fan.

Huey was a 50 year member of Camp Call Masonic Lodge 534 AF & AM, member of
the Charlotte Scottish Rite, Oasis Shriners and Camp Call Chapter 287 Order
of the Eastern Star. He joined Oasis Temple in 1966. He was appointed life
member of Oasis Temple on January 28, 1978 for his outstanding service to
the shrine organization for his efforts in fund raising for the crippled and
burned child.

Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Freida Baxter Webb; three brothers,
Ray Webb and wife, Jane of Shelby, Faron Webb of Shelby and James "Butch"
Webb and wife, Angela of Shelby; four sisters, JoAnn Webb of Hickory,
Amogene Almeda and husband, Charles of Spokane, WA, Rachel Oaks of Shelby
and Darlene Pruitt and husband, Steve of Shelby and numerous nieces and

Visitation will be 1:00PM until 2:45PM Sunday at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral

The funeral service will be 3:00PM Sunday at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home
Chapel with Rev. David Webb officiating.

Entombment will follow in Rose Hill Memorial Park Mausoleum, Fallston.
