Hugh Franklin Eaker, 85, a native of Cleveland County passed away on Sunday, December 25, 2016 at Wendover Hospice. He was born to the late Alden and Sylvia Lingerfelt Eaker. He is also predeceased by his wife of 19 years, Carolyn Warlick Eaker; one sister, Racheal Stidham; three brothers, Baby Eaker, Carlo W. Eaker and Hershel Eaker; one daughter, Rebecca Terry.
Hugh left behind to cherish his memories one daughter, Rita E. Smith of the home; four grandchildren, Carolyn Poston, Cathy Adams, Billy R. Terry and Angela Hopper (Steve); eight great-grandchildren, Jake and Katie Williams, Thomas Poston, Marista Poston, Sky Terry, Noah Terry, Austin Hughes and Ryan Adams; two great-great-grandchildren, Abigail and Hudson Williams.
Hugh was a member of the Knights of Pythias, Maryland, he attended and supported Ledford Grove Baptist Church on Double Shoals Road, he was also an insurance agent with Liberty Life and he operated his own photography studio.
A memorial service may be scheduled at a later date.
