Hugh Hoyle Hudson, age 69, of South Pink Street, passed away Thursday, October 15, 2020 at CaroMont Regional Medical Center.

He was born April 6, 1951 in Lincoln County to the late Darrell "Pete" Reece and Betty Jean "Bootie" Van Dyke Hudson.

Hugh owned and operated Hudson's Carpet Cleaning for nearly 25 years and retired from the City of Kings Mountain. He was also a member of First Wesleyan Church of Cherryville. Hugh loved mowing his lawn and working in his yard.

He is survived by his wife of 35 years Jill Dellinger Hudson; daughter, Holly Hudson; brothers, Jerry "Fatty Hudson and wife Linda, and Rick Hudson; sister, Cindy Jackson and husband Todd; grandchildren, Addison Randall, Sarah Grace Garrison, Isabella Black, and Mallory Black; and great-grandson, Leon David Strawn.

A Drive-in Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 pm Sunday October 18, 2020 in the parking lot of First Wesleyan Church of Cherryville with Rev. Mark Poe officiating. Attendees are asked to tune their car radio to 90.9 FM.

Burial will be private.
