Hugh Walter Sain, 91, of Lawndale, passed away on Saturday, July 24, 2021 at his residence.

Born in Cleveland County on July 30, 1929, he was a son of the late Frank McCoy Sain and Fannie Cleo Pruett Sain. He was retired from Wade Hosiery and was a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Iveree Lingerfelt Sain, two daughters, Janet Miller and Jane Davis; daughter-in-law, Debbie Sain; grandson, Jack Sain; seven brothers, Warren Sain, Ralph Sain, Melvin Sain, Jimmie Sain, Harold Sain, Paul Sain and Horace Sain and one sister, Gladys Hull.

Survivors include two sons, Danny Sain of Tennessee and Jack Sain and wife Penny of Hickory; one daughter, Shena Lynn and husband Skeet of Lawndale; son-in-law, Ron Miller of California; ten grandchildren, Brian Brackett, Michelle Rowland, Corey Sain, Holly Sain, Josh Jenkins, Jessica Miller, Meagan Miller, Nichole Miller, Dawn Smith and Michael Perryman; sixteen great grandchildren; three brothers, Colon Sain of Vale, Kenneth Sain of Vale and Bobby Sain of Newton and two sisters, Dorothy Leatherman of Taylorsville and Joann Wise of Vale.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 28, 2021, at 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm at Zion Hill Baptist Church.

The Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday at 3:00 pm at Zion Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. Allan Barlow officiating.

The burial will follow the service in the Zion Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.
