Irma Brittain Goforth "Cunningham", 74, of Fallston, went home to Heaven on Thursday, August 10, 2023.

Born in Cleveland County, on July 23, 1949, she was the youngest daughter of the late Jim Devon Brittain and Vacie Mae Mitchell Brittain. She was a member of Plains View Baptist Church of Lawndale. Irma enjoyed working with her friends at Vickie's Grill in Cherryville for 28 years and also enjoyed helping many of her friends keep their homes tidy and their errands complete. She was happiest when helping others.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved Michael Cunningham of Gastonia, two brothers, Geter Brittain and Blary Brittain, and three sisters, Bonnie Brittain, Ann Reece, and Florence Fisher.

Survivors include four children & eight grandchildren all of Fallston; three sons, Kelly Goforth, wife Suzanne, with Logan and Lacie; Kevin Goforth, wife Ashley, with Jackson Milburn, Laney, and Wyatt; Adam Goforth and Cole Crain; and one daughter, Sonya Goforth Parton with Sunshine and Sadie; two brothers, Dice Brittain and Alexander Brittain and wife Audrey also of Fallston and a sister, Peggy Childers of Blacksburg, SC.

The family will be receiving friends Sunday, August 20, 2023, from 3:00PM until 4:00PM at Plains View Baptist Church, 264 Plainsview Church Rd, Lawndale, NC 28090, and the memorial service will follow immediately afterward at 4:00PM with Rev. Wayne Key Officiating.

Friends and extended family are invited to join the family meal following the service in the church fellowship hall to celebrate the love and laughter of Irma's life.
