Isabell Rachel Hamilton Davis, 91, of Vale, passed away on Tuesday, August 30, 2022 at Hospice at Wendover, Shelby.

Born in Gaston County on March 1, 1931, she was a daughter of the late C. W. Hamilton and Notra Bivens Hamilton Roberts. She was retired from Bike Athletic as a seamstress and was a member of Plainsview Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Aran Davis; one brother, Job Hamilton and four sisters, Ruby Wray, Elizabeth Davis, Mary Hoyle and Connie Smith.

Survivors include four sons, Stuart Davis of Shelby, Jerry Davis, Nathan Davis and Joel Davis all of Vale; one daughter, Wanda Buxton of Hickory; one brother, Buddy Hamilton of Shelby; three sisters, Matilda Black of Cherryville, Patsy McCain of Blacksburg, SC and Lula Mae Marshall of Powee, OK; nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Friday, September 2, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be held on Friday, at 11:00 AM in the Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Wayne Key officiating.

The burial will follow the service in the Plainsview Baptist Church Cemetery.
