Ismiralla Boyce Whiteside

Ismiralla Boyce Whiteside, 71, of Forest City, NC passed away on Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at Willow Ridge Rehabilitation in Rutherfordton, NC.

She was born on March 7, 1950 in Cleveland County, NC to the late T.B. Boyce and the late Nuell Bailey Boyce.

Ismiralla was the oldest of nine children she was a 1968 graduate of Crest High School, she also attended Cleveland Tech now known as Cleveland Community College. She majored in auto mechanic and auto body. She worked at Shelby Mills as a Lab Technician, when Shelby Mill opened Artee Industries in 1971 she transferred and worked in various positions. She later became employed with Cone Jacquards in Cliffside NC and later retired from Wilbert Plastics in Forest City.

Issie was a Member of Webb First Baptist Church in Ellenboro, NC where she served as Deaconess, Sunday School Teacher on the Finance Committee, Pastor Aide, Culinary Committee and Women Auxiliary.

Left to cherish many fond memories is her loving husband Thomas Whiteside, four daughters Roberta Parrish of Forest City, and Teena Marie Burston of Kingstown, Shanna Greene, Ellenboro and Anika Burdine of Forest City. Five sisters Eunice Mintz (Harold), Patricia Spikes (Michael) Johnnie Boyce, all of Kingstown, Gloria Raper (Donald) of Clinton MD, and Penny Boyce of Shelby. Three brothers Thomas Boyce (Henrietta), Jerry Boyce both of Kingstown, T. L. (Pam) Shelby. Two sisters- in- law Anita McEntyre (Steve), Leron Roberts (Layne) all of Ellenboro. Two aunts Mary Boyce of Kingstown and Marshall King of Baltimore MD. Thirteen grandchildren; Courtney, Raheem, Jalayiah, Malik, Ka'leigh, Raylan, Rehanna, Shania, Shakayla, Torri, Kaiona,Karter, and Laila. Two great-grandchildren Jaden and Athena (GiGi) and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Mrs. Whiteside will be private. The family will be receiving friends from 10:30 AM until 11:00 AM at Webb First Baptist Church in Ellenboro, NC on Saturday, April 17, 2021 and other times at 1816 Boyce Road Kingstown, NC.
