It's Girl Scout Cookie Time!

WHAT: It's almost time to stock up on Thin Mints, Peanut Butter Patties and all your favorites! Girl Scout cookies arrive this week!
WHO: Girl Scouts and adult volunteers
WHEN: Now through Saturday, January 17
WHERE: Sharon United Methodist Church, Shelby, 10 am
The Girl Scout Cookie Program is an integral part of the Girl Scout Leadership Experience, teaching girls five key skills to take with them into the future- goal setting, decision making, money management, people skills and business ethics.
The girls take active roles in all parts of the program, and this year, girls have the opportunity to sell cookies online to friends and family. All proceeds from cookie sales benefit girls right here in the community.
Locally, Girl Scouts will pick up their cookies this week and prepare for cookie booths through March 1.
This year, GSCP2P will again pilot a gluten free cookie along with the normal lineup. Trios are chocolate chip cookies made with real chocolate chips, real peanut butter, real butter and certified gluten free, whole grain oats with no artificial colors or flavors, no palm or hydrogenated oil and no high fructose corn syrup.
