IT’S SUMMER CAMP TIME! Girl Scout Camp Not Just For Girl Scouts
Girl Scout camp is not just for those registered as Girl Scouts; all girls in central and western North Carolina are invited to experience the excitement of Girl Scout camp.
“Girl Scouting and camping is a long-standing tradition that builds character and confidence in girls,” said Carrie Myers, Girl Scouts Carolinas Peaks to Piedmont (GSCP2P) director of program.
At GSCP2P, it’s all about your daughter! What do you want her to learn? How do you want her to challenge herself? Maybe you want her to climb to the top of a rock wall? Hit a perfect bull’s-eye with a bow and arrow? Horseback along the edges of Biltmore Estate or raft down a whitewater river?
At Girl Scout camp, girls are surrounded by a community of caring adults who foster an experiential culture that results in increased self-respect and appreciation of the world around them. Educational experts recognize that the camp experience teaches girls vital life skills that help them grow while also making their lives healthier and happier.
Not only do our camps offer a competitively priced program, they also offer a unique Girl Scout experience that cannot be compared to other camps. While experiencing canoeing, kayaking, high adventure, arts and crafts, campfires, adventure trips and so much more, each girl is encouraged to make positive choices, develop trust in herself and others, and be part of a team.
“Our four resident camps truly enrich your daughter’s life and broaden her view of the world while providing a value parents can count on in many ways,” Myers stated. “Whether a first time camper or a camping veteran, your daughter will learn independence and courage, and return home a stronger young woman. These vital life skills help girls develop better relationships and grow up to not only enjoy more fulfilling work lives but also to contribute more to their communities.”
In addition, our resident camps are American Camp Association (ACA) accredited and comply with more than 300 standards.
