Iva Ledbetter Howington, 90, of Shelby, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, June 16, 2015.

Born August 8, 1924, in Cleveland County, she was the daughter of the late Cyrus Ledbetter and Garr Bridges Ledbetter. Iva retired from the Stanly County School System. She was known to many in the community as 'Master Cake Baker Extraordinaire'.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband and two brothers.

Survivors include two daughters, four granddaughters, five great-grandchildren, two sisters, and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from Noon until 1:00 p.m. Friday, June 19, 2015 at Boiling Springs Baptist Church, Boiling Springs, NC. A celebration of life will be at 1:00 p.m. at the church with burial following at Cleveland Memorial Park.
