Izzi Honored For Over A Half Century Of Service
Tony Izzi, Jr. has actively served the Boys & Girls Club of Cleveland County for 52 years and at the annual dinner and raffle held at the Cleveland County Fairgrounds’ Goforth Hall, on Friday, June 17, he was awarded the diamond encrusted National Service To Youth Award. It was in recognition for his half century of service to the Boys & Girls Club. Pictured above (l to r) his son, Tony Izzi, III, his daughter Anita Izzi Grayson and the honoree, Tony. It is a special award for a special man. Later in the evening, the winner of the 2011 car/truck raffle was “Lucky” Betty Kendrick. Between the truck and car offered, she choose the Ford Fiesta. Her winning number was 211 and she is giving the new car to her granddaughter, Carla Bradmon. Believe it or not, two years ago Betty also won the raffle. At that time she selected the Ford Focus and gave it to her grandson, Salem Coogler. A new car winner twice in three years is amazing!
