Jack Edgar Rippy, Sr. 90, died Saturday December 11, 2021 at Wendover Hospice. A native of Rutherford Co., he was born to the late Boyd Lucious and Clara Dalton Rippy. He was also preceded in death by his wife Margaret Ann Watson Rippy and sons Frankie and Jack Edgar Rippy, Jr.. He is survived by his daughter Terri Worthen and husband Mike of Simpsonville, SC., daughter-in-law Mary Rippy of Shelby and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Jack served as a staff sergeant in the United States Air Force, was a golden glove boxer, retired from Fiber Industries and was a member of Landmark Baptist Church.

A graveside service at Cleveland Memorial Park will be held on Monday December 20, 2021 at 10:00 AM with military honors provided by the US Air Force, Rev. Allen Davis, officiating.
