Jack Shealy Walker, age 89, died Wednesday April 6, 2016 at Carolinas Healthcare Cleveland. Born in Greenville SC on August 29, 1926 he was the son of the late William Pinkney and Vera Pearl Shealy Walker. Jack had a career in textiles and retired as Plant Manager from Esther Mill in Shelby.
Jack is survived by his wife of 65 years, Jean Fogleman Walker; two sons, Jack Walker Jr. of Pittsboro and Dover Walker of Shelby; a daughter, Cynthia Roberts and husband Mark of Charlotte; two sisters, Jean Helm of Greensboro and Sybil Huffman of Burlington; five grandchildren, Jack Walker III, Dan Upchurch, Walker Roberts, Austin Roberts, Robin Perrone, and Dan Upchurch; and three great grandchildren
Graveside service will be held in Burlington NC.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to: First Baptist Church, 120 N. Lafayette Street, Shelby NC 28150 or charity of one's choice.
