Jack T. Ross, age 84, of Clay Street, Forest City, passed away Sunday, April 28, 2019 at Rutherford Regional Medical Center.
Jack was born July 5, 1934 in Rutherford County to the late George Ross, Sr. and Ruth Crowder Ross. He worked for many years at Stonecutter Mill and most recently in the Lawn & Garden Department at Wal-Mart. Jack enjoyed yard work and was a member of Smith Grove Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Shirley Gettys, Sue Burnett and a brother, James Ross.
Those left to treasure his memory include his wife of fifty-one years, Judy Adair Ross; son, Garrett T. Ross and wife, Amber of Forest City; three sisters, Patsy Ware of Spindale, Brenda Rowe of Forest City and Lois Rabb of Bostic; two brothers, George L. Ross, Jr. and wife Diane of Forest City and Glenn Ross of Forest City. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, Jessica Hicks (Adam), Josh Ross, Trey Jones, Courtney Ross, Jackie Ross, Gracie Ross, Sevan Ross and four great-grandchildren, Kolton Hicks, Royceton Ayers, Van Ridge Biddix and Addyson Hicks.
A funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at Smith Grove Baptist Church with Reverend Terry White officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the church.
