Jack Waldo Dover

On Monday, January 22, 2018, Jack Waldo Dover, 73, went to his eternal home
with our Lord and Savior at the Testa Family Hospice House in Kings
Mountain.

Born in York County, SC, on June 27, 1944 he was a son of the late Jesse
James Dover and John Edith Crawford Dover. He attended school in Cleveland
County the last being Burns at Fallston. Jack was retired from Frito-Lay
after 21 years of service and had previously been employed with Bost Bakery.
He was a member of New Harvest Church of God, Gaffney, SC. Jack will be
fondly remembered for telling jokes and laughing with people, but especially
his love for the Lord which was shown through his singing of Christian
songs.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by three brothers,
Johnny, Jimmy and Donald Dover and a sister, Joyce McIntyre Webber.

He is survived by his loving wife of fifty-two years, Barbara Jean Kennedy
Dover; his son, Gregory Paul Dover of Miramar, FL; his daughter, Wanda Dover
Mears of Grover; his two brothers, Jerry Dover and wife, Brenda of Kings
Mountain and Charles Dover of Blacksburg, SC; his sister, Midge White of
Cherryville; three granddaughters, Alexandria Tiffany Bustard and husband
Kyle, Sarah Victoria Dover and husband Kenneth, and Nicole Hillary Dover;
and two great grandchildren, Leah Anastasia Dover and Elsa Scarlett Dover.

The family will greet friends immediately after the service at New Harvest
Church of God in Gaffney, SC. church. The family will celebrate Jack's life
on Thursday at 4:00 pm at New Harvest Church of God with the Rev. Robert
Wells officiating. Memorials may be made to Children's Homes of Cleveland
