James Franklin "Bud" Holt, 80, passed away on Sunday, February 28, 2021 at his residence.

Bud was born on November 8, 1940 in Lincoln County, NC a son of the late Hunley Holt and Mattie Hallman Holt.

He was retired as owner and operator of Holt's Family Restaurant and was he was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include a daughter, Tina Holt Glover (Kenneth) of Shelby; two sons, James "Allan" Holt of Crouse and William "Brent" Holt (Dawn) of Kings Mountain; 11 grandchildren, Chris Morris, Tabatha Nantz (Cody), Brandi Bunch (John), Hannah Head, Alexandra Monk, Michael Glover, Hannah Elizabeth Holt, Chloe Abigail Holt, Trey Jones, III, Kyle Jones and S. Austin Holt; four great grandchildren, Austin Morris, Mackenzie Nantz, Carly Bunch and James "Little Bud" Bunch; one sister, Peggy Holt of Lincolnton; four brothers, Gary Holt, Tony Holt and Charles Holt all of Lincolnton and Kenneth Holt of South Carolina.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM on Wednesday, March 3, 2021 at Stamey-Cherryville Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Tom Runyon officiating.

The family will greet friends following the service.

Burial will be in Shady Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
