James "Jimmy" Daniel Lancaster, 74, transitioned to his Heavenly home on Saturday, November 12, 2022 while at his home.

He was born April 06, 1948 to the late Clyde Lancaster and Mae Lillian Lancaster in Gaston County. He is also predeceased by one nephew, Rocky Beatty, Jr.

Jimmy leaves behind to cherish his memories his wife, Glenda Jones Lancaster of the home; daughters, Olita Conrad and husband, Josh and Shelley Shoemaker; grandchildren, Kyndal Conrad and Ashley Shoemaker; siblings, Joyce Elrod, Dorothy Hanna, Ronnie Lancaster and Marshall Lancaster; nieces and nephews, Josh Beatty, Payton Beatty, Caleb Beatty, Cody Beatty, Ethan Beatty, Skylar Beatty, Rylan Beatty, Michael Allen, John Boy Lancaster and Jackie Pond; others, Ryleigh McCutcheon, Jayden, Jeremiah and Jala Godwin and AJ McCutcheon.

He retired from Textiles. He enjoyed fishing, watching his favorite episodes of "Gunsmoke", playing pool, loved the story of How The Homeless Boy Met John 3;16, hanging out at the Patrick Center and the outdoors. Breakfast was his favorite that included eggs and grits. He loved being around others and making them laugh. He was always friendly and never met a stranger. He loved his dogs, Peanut and Benji. Most of all he loved his family and spending time with them. He will forever be in our hearts.

Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 PM on Saturday, November 19, 2022 at True Gospel Holiness Church, 1608 Shelby Road, Kings Mountain, NC 28086 with Olita Conrad and Ches Robbins officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Burial will be held immediately following the service at Westview Gardens, 1123 Edgewood Road, Bessemer City, NC 28016.
