James "Jimmy" Weldon Whiteside, age 69, of Caroleen, passed away Thursday, January 28, 2021 at Rutherford Regional Medical Center.

James was born Tuesday, February 20, 1951 in Rutherford County to the late Weldon Whiteside and Thelma Camby Whiteside. He was a graduate of Chase High School and worked for Cone Mill-Henrietta Plant for many years. James had a love for motorcycles, karate and enjoyed shooting pool with friends at the Rutherford County Senior Center.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Ann Crawford, Martha Whiteside and a brother, Tommy Whiteside.

Those left to cherish his memory include son, Timothy "Tim" Mark Whiteside of Caroleen; daughter, Michelle Whiteside Meyer (Wayne) of Tega Cay, South Carolina. He is also survived by two grandchildren, Lauren Cathryn Meyer and Christian Lake Meyer both of Tega Cay.

A memorial graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Saturday, February 20, 2021 at Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend Ernie Cole officiating.
