James Lee Osborne

Mr. James Lee Osborne, 67 of Shelby, passed away Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at Hospice House of Rutherford County.
He is survived by his son, Michael Osborne and wife Jamie of Spindale, NC, three grandchildren, Haleigh Osborne, Emma Osborne, and Zoey Osborne, a sister, Carolyn Osborne of Lawndale, NC, three brothers, Dwight Osborne and wife Freida of Shelby, NC, Fred Osborne of Shelby, NC, and Bill Osborne and wife Vonda of Shelby, NC, two lifelong friends, Larry Melton and Buddy Pittman, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Born September 12, 1949 in Cleveland County, Mr. Osborne is the son of Beulah Terry Osborne and the late Everette Osborne and was preceded in death by a sister, Patsy Osborne.
Mr. Osborne served in the U.S. Army in Germany during the Vietnam War. He enjoyed dirt track racing and an avid fisherman. James was a member of the Cleveland County Bass Club for many years and could be found at the race track on Friday nights.
Memorial services will be held 12:00 pm Saturday, April 1, 2017 at Shelby Missionary Methodist Church conducted by Rev. J.R. Robbins.
