James Martin Scarborough, 79, died Sunday, May 15, 2022 at his home.

Born in Wilmington, NC, he was the son of the late James and Helen McCrae Scarborough. James was employed by Metrolina Sprinkler, Duke Energy and retired from Parker Hannifin. He was a member of Fairview Lodge #339, was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed golf. He loved his wife, children, grandchildren and great grandchild dearly. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Zelma "Tinky" Scarborough of the home; daughters, Paige Biddix and husband Timothy and Brooke Bolin and husband Christopher; sons, Jason Scarborough and Jeremy Scarborough and wife Jennifer, all of Kings Mountain; sister, Jeanette Hoover and husband Knoxie of Charlotte; grandchildren, Jennifer Falls, Brandi Falls, Madison Ayscue, Josh Bolin, Spurgeon Scarborough, Hunter Scarborough, Cooper Scarborough, Colton Scarborough, Ember Scarborough and Joey Biddix; and great grandchild, Remi Biddix. A memorial service will be held 3:00 PM, Wednesday, May 18, 2022 at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home Chapel in Kings Mountain, with the Rev. Dr. Terry Floyd officiating.
