James Oren Fulton, age 86, resident of Kings Mountain, NC died February 6, 2017 at Carolina's Medical Center in Charlotte. He was born in Cleveland Co. NC to the late Palmer Dekalb Fulton and Emma Frances Weatherspoon. He's also preceded in death by his brothers Preston, Robert, and William Palmer Fulton. Also preceded by his sisters Louis, Eleanor, Pansy, and Dorothy. James retired from Duke Power. He served as a deacon at Boyce Memorial. He was also a member of the American Legion Post 123 in Gastonia and Post 155 in Kings Mountain and a former member of Drum & Bugle Corp the Rambling Rebels. James also served in the United States Navy during the Korean conflict from 1948-1952.

SURVIVORS: Virginia Bridgeman of Gastonia, James' sweetheart and best friend

Brother: Paul Fulton of Shelby, NC

Daughters: Jamia (Steve) Deaton of Gastonia, NC; Rita (Karl) Barker of Florida; Ronda (John) DiNome of Florida

James also had 7 grandchildren and 18 great-children
