Mr. James Russell Cochran age 73 died Friday March 8, 2013 at Peak Resources in Shelby. Born in Cleveland County he was the son of the late Columbus and Bernice Teseneer Cochran. He was a member of Lattimore Baptist Church. He served in the Air Force and he enjoyed fishing and hunting. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a sister, Martha Ann Greene.
Mr. Cochran is survived by two sons, Timothy Cochran and wife Karen of Kings Mountain, and Charles Cochran and wife Cindy of Ellenboro; three daughters, Pamela Watts and husband Kenneth of Ellenboro, Lynn Cochran and partner Jessica Martin of Lexington, and Angela Stafford of Conway SC; one sister, Catherine Cochran of Myrtle Beach SC; one brother, Charles D. Cochran of Shelby; 11 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held on Monday March 11, 2013 at 3:30pm at Lattimore Baptist Church. The family will receive friends on Monday from 2:00pm until 3:00pm at Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home and Crematory.
