Janice Pearson Parker, age 72, died Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at Hospice Wendover. Born in Cleveland County on April 17, 1945, she was the daughter of the late William Rudolph and Elsie Inez Higgins Pearson. Janice retired from the Bic Corporation in Gaffney after a number of years of service. She enjoyed horticulture. Janice owned and worked for different greenhouses in Shelby. Janice was a loving and devoted wife and mother. Her greatest joy was being a grandmother. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a brother, James Lebron.

Janice is survived by her husband of 43 years, Bobby Parker; a daughter, Jill Cantrell and husband Sean of Shelby; five sisters, Gail Lail and husband LaMorris of Shelby, Priscilla Ware and husband Randy of Branford, FL, Linda Nalty and husband Dennis of Pittsboro, Teresa Worster and husband Dave of Shelby, Karen Ewing and husband Donnie of Stanley; two brothers, William Pearson and wife Betty of Raleigh, Michael Pearson of Carrboro; sister-in-law, Maxine Lebron of Ft. Washington, MD., two grandchildren, Christy Justice and husband Alan and Nicole Blanton; four great grandchildren, Amy Easler, Michael Easler, David Davis, Marshall Justice; and one great-great granddaughter, Sophia Rametta.

A Gathering of Friends and Family will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, December 2, 2017 in the chapel of Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home and Crematory. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 2:00 pm before the service.
