Janie was a member of Faith Harvest Church where she served on the hospitality committee until her health declined.  She was employed with Artee Industries in Shelby for over 15 years.  She then was employed with Helping Hands in Shelby, a job she thoroughly enjoyed as a health care provider.

Some of her pastimes included growing flowers which she had a gift for.  But, among her greatest joys and rewards were watching the success of her children and grandchildren, a job that she truly loved and put a lot of focus upon.

She was preceded in death by her father, B.B. Wilson; her husband, Charles Wright and her daughter, Sharon Wright.

Left to cherish her memory are her mother, Christine McCombs Jackson of Shelby; two daughters, Lisa Wright and Trina Wright both of Shelby; a grandson who was raised in the home, Chavalo Wright also of Shelby; her brothers, Jimmy McCombs, Charlie Ray McCombs and B.B. Wilson, Jr. all of Shelby, Willis Lee Jackson (Alma) of Gastonia, NC, Nathanial Jackson (Anie) of Owings Mills, MD and Thomas Jackson (Tosha) of Gastonia; three sisters, Dorothy Jackson of Charlotte, NC, Bernice Dacons (Vann) of Kings Mountain, NC and Marilyn Poston of Shelby;  two granddaughters, India Wright of Charlotte, NC and Kadasha Wray of Shelby; one additional sister-in-law, Patricia Card Pryor of Shelby and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 1, 2012 at 2:00 PM at Faith Harvest Church with Bishop Randy Borders officiating.  Burial will take place at Sunset Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 1:30 until 2:00 PM on Monday and at other times at 397 Seattle St. Apt. 6E in Shelby.
