Kings Mountain - Mrs. Jannie Rue McFarland Ware, 94, of Mary's Grove Road,
passed away on Saturday, August 18, 2018 at Grace Hospital in Morganton.

Mrs. Ware was born on May 21, 1924 in Cleveland County, NC a daughter of the
late Henry Allen McFarland and Ella McNeilly McFarland. She was retired as
a cook for Kings Mountain City Schools and was a member of Oak Grove Baptist
Church in Kings Mountain. She enjoyed doing crafts and volunteered at the
Senior Center in Kings Mountain before her health started failing. She loved
her life at Cambridge House where she was considered "the life of the party"
and will be missed. Until her illness Jannie loved quilting, gardening and
cooking. Collecting cookbooks was one of her favorite hobbies. She would
always save gift bags or wrapping paper and make something really crafty
from it. Everyone who knew Jannie remembers her special smile and giggle.
She never met a stranger.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 62
years, Thomas Clyde Ware; a brother, H.A. McFarland and a sister Mary Sue
McFarland.

Family and friends left to cherish her memory are a son, Wray, and wife,
Sharon, several cousins, Brenda Lovelace, who was her caregiver until she
began living at assisted living a little over a year ago. Jannie was blessed
to have wonderful neighbors, Rocky and Elizabeth Lutz and their two children
whom she dearly loved and spoke well of.

Visitation will be from 1:45 to 2:45PM on Friday, August 24, 2018 at Oak
Grove Baptist Church in Kings Mountain.

Funeral Services will be held at 3:00PM on Friday, August 24, 2018 at Oak
Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Jim Brackett officiating.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
