Jean Elizabeth Tesseneer

Jean Elizabeth Tesseneer, 75, passed away on Saturday, August 2, 2025, at her home.

Born on March 11, 1950, she was the daughter of the late M.E. Threatt and Lois Blanton. She was preceded in death by one grandchild, and her brother-in-law, David Wiggin. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Jim Tesseneer; two daughters- Sharon Boyer (Duane) of Harding, Pennsylvania and Kim Bishop (Mark) of West Point, Kentucky, her sister Judy Wiggin of Kings Mountain; six grandchildren- Lauren Acosta (Arthur), McKenzie Campbell (Bryce), Jenna Bryant (Cameron), Wesley Bishop (Sarah), Emily Boyer, and Mason Bishop; one great-grandson- Beckett Campbell, and one great-granddaughter-Dolly Lynn Jean Campbell.

Over the years, Jean worked many jobs, but her favorites included working at B & H Florist, working at the Christian schools where her children attended, and being a homemaker. Jean was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Kings Mountain, NC. She was very involved in her church until her illness began eight years ago. She was an amazing cook, loved to collect snowmen, loved to watch her Atlanta Braves and UNC Tarheels, and loved to spend time with her husband, daughters, and grandchildren that she adored.

Since 2015, Jean battled cancer multiple times, diabetes, and Progressive Supranuclear Palsy. Through all of this, her faith never wavered. She trusted Jesus Christ as her Savior when she was a young wife and mother and continued to trust in Him completely until He took her home to heaven on August 2. We are so grateful for the many caregivers that God led our way!

A celebration of life service will be held at 4 P.M. on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Kings Mountain, N.C. The service will be officiated by Jean's sons-in-law, Pastor Duane Boyer and Pastor Mark Bishop, and her pastor, Jim Ogle. There will be a private graveside/burial. Memorials can be made to the Mission Fund at Emmanuel Baptist Church.
