Jeanette Cabaniss Davis, age 87 of Shelby, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, October 20, 2021.

She is survived by her children, Deborah Davis Sprouse and husband Kellan of Waynesville, NC, Steven Davis and wife Tracy of Ellenboro, NC, Carolyn Talley and husband Joe of Shelby, NC, and Thomas Davis and wife Danya of Ellenboro, NC, two grandchildren, Diana Elliott and husband Dennis of Lawndale, NC, and Paul Davis of Ellenboro, NC, three great grandchildren, Hannah, Jacob, and Samuel, and a sister, Marilyn Hester of Shelby, NC.

Born July 13, 1934 in Cleveland County, NC, Jeanette was the daughter of the late Loyd Lamar Cabaniss and Lela Mozelle Brackett Cabaniss and was preceded in death by her loving husband of 47 years, Bill Stevenson Davis.

Jeanette was a faithful member of Double Springs Baptist Church where she had sung in the choir. She also was a longtime volunteer for the Council of Aging & Senior Center. Jeanette worked and retired as a nursing supervisor at Cleveland Regional Medical Center. She enjoyed gardening, reading, quilting, traveling, and spending time with her family and friends.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday, October 26, 2021 at Double
Springs Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Priscilla Brooks.
