Jeffrey Lee Head

Jeffrey Lee Head, known affectionately to all as Jeffrey, passed away on July 13, 2025, in York, South Carolina.

Born on August 14, 1981, in Shelby, North Carolina, Jeffrey's warm smile and generous spirit were a beacon of light to everyone he encountered throughout his 43 years of life.

Jeffrey was a man whose presence was felt deeply by his family, friends, and community. He was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Pamela Head, his cherished partner, Julie Nivens, and his grandparents, Hugh Lee and Phyllis "Maw Maw Chub" Head. His memory will be forever treasured by his daughters, Makenzie Head and her mother Teresa Tyson, and Destiny Mitchell; his stepdaughter, Abigail Nivens; his father, Clarence Barnette; his special Great Aunt Noodie Parker; his Aunt Loretta Whisnant and her husband, Richard; his Uncle Ronnie Head; his special nieces and nephews, Cassie and Josh Nivens, and Haley Heavner; his cousins, Emily Heavner and her husband, Billy, Matt Whisnant and his wife, Chelsea and family; and his special friend Rita Gibson.

Jeffrey's life was marked by his dedication to serving others, a trait that shone brightly through his active involvement with the Sharon Fire Department in Sharon, South Carolina. His commitment to his community was unwavering, and he was always ready to extend a helping hand to those in need.

A man of many interests, Jefferey found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He was an avid fisherman, often found at "Papa Doc's," where he relished in the tranquility of nature. Jeffrey never met a stranger; he had the unique ability to connect with people from all walks of life. Above all, he loved spending quality time with his family and friends, creating lasting memories that they will hold dear.

Jeffrey was a phenomenal father, whose kindness and loving nature were evident in the way he raised his daughters. His legacy as a great dad and kind person will live on through the many hearts he touched.

Those who knew Jeffrey would describe him as loving, generous, and kind. His absence will leave a void in the lives of many, but his spirit will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know him.

A funeral service to celebrate Jeffrey's life will be held on Saturday, July 26, 2025, at 2:00 pm, in the Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jeremy Mahaffey officiating. Interment will follow in Rose Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm - 1:45 pm prior to the service.

As we say goodbye to Jeffrey Lee Head, we take solace in the fact that his love and the lessons he imparted will continue to guide us. We will miss his laughter, his unwavering support, and the comfort of his presence. Jeffrey, your life was a testament to the beauty of kindness, and you will be profoundly missed by all.
