Jeremy Glenn Jackson
Jeremy Glenn Jackson, age 9 of Doree Lane, won the Victory on Sunday, January 14, 2018 at Levine Children's Hospital after a very courageous battle against Severe Aplastic Anemia and GVHD. He was born May 25, 2008 in Cleveland County to John Charles and April Marie Howell Jackson. Glenn was a 4th grader at Beam Intermediate and a member of First Baptist Church. He was an all American boy who enjoyed hunting and fishing, running the hunting dogs, and riding fourwheelers and bicycles. Glenn was a very competitive, All-Star athlete who excelled in all sports. He was also an avid sports fan who pulled for Alabama Football, Duke Basketball, and Seattle Seahawks. Glenn had an amazing sense of humor and he was a fighter in every way. He truly loved all his friends and family and he was a protector of those he loved.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Jerry D. Jackson; and uncle, Charlie Crowder.
In addition to his parents, John and April Jackson, he is survived by his big sister, Halle Jane Jackson; grandparents, Pete and Carolyn Jackson Crowder, Charles Howell, and Mark and Tina Dellinger; uncles and aunts, Jeremy and Donna Jackson, Heath Jackson, Shelly and Harold Lovelace, and Steven and Molly Dellinger; cousins, Garrett, Taylor, Hunter, Carlton, and Carlie Grace Jackson, and Cameron Lovelace; a special family friend, Hunter Moye; and numerous friends and other relatives.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 18, 2018 at 8:00 PM at First Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Vince Hefner officiating. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 4:00 to 7:30 PM in the COC of First Baptist Church.
John and April ask that any of Glenn's friends should wear their football or baseball jerseys, sports attire, camo, or anything that "G" would wear in honor of him. #AlwaysJacksonStrong
