Jeri Towery Loftin, age 69 of Academy Street, passed away Sunday, May 12, 2019 at Somerset Court of Cherryville. Jeri was born June 15, 1949 in Cleveland County to the late Emmett Wilson Towery and the late Annie Mae Roberts-Carfrey. Jeri was a retired florist and enjoyed gardening, flowers, and the beach. Jeri loved animals and especially loved cats.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her step-mother, Alpha Rome.

Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Lisa Carpenter Wright and husband, Jeff of Cherryville; Brother, Ken Towery (Sheila) of Vale; Sister, Judy McCurry (Jim) of Lincolnton; Step-sisters, Barbara (Esper) of Vale and Charlene Sisk (Charles) of Lincolnton. Grandchildren, Amberly Barnes of Aurora, CO and Cameron Wright of Cherryville; Great-Granddaughter, Aurora Tirado of Aurora, CO.

A celebration of Jeri's life will be held on Wednesday May 15, 2019 at 4:00 PM with Pastor Jeff Hull officiating at Carpenter-Porter Funeral and Cremations Services. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends from 3:00 to 3:45 PM prior to the service at the funeral home.

Family will be at the home of Lisa and Jeff Wright.
