Jerlean Hattie Walker Denton
Jerlean Hattie Walker Denton, 76, of Vale, passed away on Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at Carolina Rehab Center of Burke, Connelly Springs.
Born in Cleveland County, on September 16, 1944, she was a daughter of the late John Walker and Ada Wise Walker. She was retired from the furniture industry. Jerlean was a member of St. Paul Baptist Church but was a prior longtime member of Macedonia United Methodist Church.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Calvin Lee Denton; infant daughter, Ginger Elaine Denton; infant brother; brother, Jimmie Walker and sister, Mary Francis Wright.
She is survived by three daughters, Sherry Whisnant (Greg), Emily Teague and husband Keith, and Kerri Bolton and husband Jonathan all of Vale; six grandchildren, Hannah Collazo (Christian), Nikki Whisnant (Joe), Zac Whisnant (Carly), Megan Teague, Gracie Bolton, Ada Bolton and two great-grandchildren, Lilah Whisnant and Colt Collazo.
The family will receive on Friday, February 12, 2021 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home.
A funeral service will be on Saturday, February 13, 2020 at 2:00 PM at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home Chapel.
The burial will follow the service in the St. Paul Baptist Church Cemetery.
Due to COVID-19 masks and social distancing will be required.
