Jerry Dale Camp

KINGS MOUNTAIN: Jerry Dale Camp, 55, born on March 12, 1962, went to be with his Lord and Savior on February 25, 2018. A native of Cleveland Co., he is the son of Willie Mae Mellon Camp and the late Eargel Camp. He was the associate pastor at New Camp Creek Baptist Church and on February 11, 2018 he received his certificate of ordination in the gospel ministry. He was the owner operator of Wheel Bar Express and later J Camp Hauling for a total of 26 years. He then went to drive for Coca Cola transporation for 10 years. He came off the road in 2014 and into the fleet shop at Red Classic where he became lead technician. His wealth of knowledge on anything mechanical was invaluable. He often got phone calls from driver friends to get his input on various mechanical issues. He lived to serve the Lord and put his faith in Jesus Christ above all.

SURVIVED: He is survived by his loving wife of 15 years, Deborah Camp of the home; daughter in law Christal Pack and grandchildren, Devin and Emma Pack of Clover, SC; brothers, Perry Camp and wife Emily of Shelby and Jimmy Camp of Kings Mountain; a niece and nephew.

VISITATION: The family will receive friends Tuesday, February 27, 2018 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home of Shelby

SERVICES: will be held Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Clay-Barnette Funeral Home of Shelby

CLERGY: Rev. Richard Stroup, officiating

INTERMENT: will immediately follow the service at New Camp Creek Church Cemetery

MEMORIALS: may be made to New Camp Creek Baptist Church 863 New Camp Creek Church Rd, Kings Mountain, NC 28086
