Jerry Dale Simmons, 47, of Forest City, went to be with the Lord Saturday, July 15, 2017 while being cared for at Hospice House. A native of Chicago Heights, IL, he was the son of the late Audrey Wayne and Shirley Mae Hardin Simmons. Jerry was a member of Fellowship Holiness Church and a boat builder.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Angie Simmons of the home; daughter Kim Rash and husband Matt of Forest City; stepdaughter Samantha May and husband Matthew of Spindale; stepson Daniel Crawford of Rutherfordton; ten grandchildren, Brison, Ocean, Sabian, Michelle, Jewliana, Abigail, Tyler, Blakely, Jake, and Cameron; brother, Roger Simmons of Forest City.

Funeral services will be held 12 PM Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at Fellowship Holiness Church with Rev. Leon Brown and Rev. Rodger Hudgins officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
