Mooresboro- Jerry Dean Harris, age 81, passed away at Carolinas Healthcare System-Cleveland Wednesday October 18, 2017.

PRECEDED: He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 51 years, Janice Byars Harris plus 8 brothers and sisters; Mildred Dedmon, Harold Harris, Walda Allen, Brian Harris, Kermit Harris, Helen Rule, Max Harris, and Earl Harris.

SURVIVORS: Left to cherish his memories are his son, Lee and his wife Kim Harris of Mooresboro. Also, grandchildren Billy Wallace his wife Carla of Mooresboro, Anna Estrellado of Forest City, Benjamin Harris his wife Brooke of Cliffside, and Jordan Harris his wife Elena of Mooresboro. Plus, great-grandchildren Emma Wallace, Will Wallace, Zander Estrellado, Ryan McDaniel, and Cason Harris. The family would like to acknowledge special niece Tois Taylor and her husband Steve.

SERVICES: Visitation is Friday October 20, 2017 at Eggers Funeral Home of Cliffside from 7 to 9pm. The service will be held at Camps Creek Baptist Church Saturday October 21, 2017 at 10:00am.

CLERGY: Officiating the service will be Rev. Buddy Moorehead with Dr. Steve Taylor and Rev. Lamar Hewitt.

MEMORIALS: The family would like memorials made to Camps Creek Baptist Church, 2318 Camp Creek Church Road, Mooresboro, NC 28114

INTERMENT: Final resting place will be in the church cemetery, with military honors provided by the Rutherford County Honor Guard.
