Jerry Lee Heavner, 66 of Dalton Drive, Shelby, passed away on Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at his residence.

Born in Cleveland County, NC on July 10, 1955, he was the son of Pansy Lail Heavner and the late Clayton "Red" Heavner. He was retired from Cotton's Seafood and was a member of Union Baptist Church.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by a son, Alan Heavner; two grandchildren, CJ and Brooklyn Heavner; brother, Danny Heavner; two nephews, Dylan and Conner Heavner and a special friend and caregiver, Anna Bumgarner.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, February 13, 2022 from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm at Union Baptist Church.

A Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, February 13, 2022 at 3:00 pm at Union Baptist Church with the Rev. Michael Shumate officiating.

The burial will follow the service in the Union Baptist Church Cemetery.
