Jerry Maurice Bumgardner, 76, of Fallston, passed away on Tuesday, March 12, 2024 at home surrounded by his family.

Born in Cleveland County, on October 25, 1947, he was a son of the late Oscar Harland Bumgardner and Fannie Lee Queen Bumgardner. He was retired form the Cleveland County School System Bus Garage and was a member of Fallston Baptist Church. He also served two years in the US Army during Vietnam and twenty plus years in the Army National Gaurd.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his daughter, Nicki Bumgardner and three brothers, Ronnie Bumgardner, Lee Roy Bumgardner, and Eugene Bumgardner; and two sisters, Kathleen Hipps, and Mary Sue Terry.

He is survived by his loving wife of fifty-six years, Judy Diane Brady Bumgardner; son, Brad Bumgardner and wife Lesley of Fallston, two granddaughters, Rosemary and Lydia Bumgardner both of Fallston; two sisters, Brenda Bridges of Polkville, Judy Gettys and husband Charles of Polkville.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 14, 2024, at 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm, at Fallston Baptist Church.

The funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 14, 2024 at 5:00 pm at Fallston Baptist Church with the Rev. Toby LeRoy, Rev. Toby Bird, and Dr. Wade Dellinger officiating.

The burial will follow the service in the Polkville Baptist Church Cemetery.
