Jerry Max Mullinax

Jerry Max Mullinax, age 76, resident of Kings Mountain, passed away on April 14, 2017 at Testa Family Hospice House. Born in Cleveland County, he was the son of the late Carl Thomas Mullinax and Jeanette McFalls Mullinax. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Patricia Ann Mullinax and brother Marshall Eugene Mullinax. Jerry worked most of his life in management and retail and was working up until his death. Jerry had a servant's heart. He was a former Kings Mountain City Councilman, worked for many years as the announcer at the water wheel at the Cleveland County Fair and former announcer for WKMT Radio. He received the 2002 Resident Volunteer of the Year Award at White Oak Manor in Kings Mountain. He said that if he could make one person a day smile, he would be happy. Jerry was a beloved hospice volunteer and spend many hours visiting patients and encouraging families.

SURVIVORS: 3 Sons: Tim Mullinax, Kings Mountain, NC; Todd Mullinax and wife Lynn, Shelby, NC; Tony Mullinax and wife Mellissa, Waco, NC.

3 grandchildren: Dustin, Ryan and Hannah

1 Sister: Kay Hambright, (Joe Brock), Kings Mountain, NC

MEMORIAL SERVICE: Wednesday, April 19, 2017, 2:00 PM, Ollie Harris Memorial Chapel with Ralph queen officiating.

VISITATION: Tuesday, April 18, 2017, 6 PM to 9 PM, Harris Funeral Home.
