Jerry Robert Greene, age 72, died Thursday, January 17, 2019 at Atrium Health- Cleveland. Born in Cleveland County on December 2, 1946, he was the son of Irene Callahan Greene of Boiling Springs and the late Johnnie F. Greene, Jr. He served in the United States Air Force at Cannon Air Force Base, Clovis, New Mexico and completed a tour of duty at Cam Ranh Bay, Vietnam, achieving the rank of Staff Sergeant. He was the owner and operator of Jerry Greene Auto Repair where he repaired and sold used vehicles. He was a member of Boiling Springs Baptist Church, the Bob Abrams Sunday School Class, Friendship Masonic Lodge #388 AM & FM and head chair of the round table at the Bulldog Quik Snak.

In addition to his father he was preceded in death by his brother, Don Greene.

In addition to his mother, Jerry is survived by his wife of 52 years, Patricia "Pat" Martin Greene of Boiling Springs, sister-in-law Pam Allen Greene, brothers-in-law Jim Martin and girlfriend Becky Elliott, David Martin and wife Cindy, and many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral Services including full military honors will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at Boiling Springs Baptist Church. Reverend Keith McKinney and Dr. Carroll Page will officiate. Burial will follow the service at Cleveland Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Monday, January 21, 2019 from 6 pm until 8 pm at Cecil M Burton Funeral Home and Crematory.
